Après plusieurs années de (très) bons et loyaux services, Adèle Robert a décidé de tourner la page du 7's en tant qu'arbitre. Elle peut être fière de son parcours : arbitre numéro une belge, elle aura sifflé sur 18 tournois de Rugby Europe et dirigé 7 finales, devenant une cadre des arbitres européens à 7, avec assurément le plus beau palmarès côté féminin.<br> <br> Adèle n'arbitrera plus sur le circuit européen à 7 mais le retrouvera dès la saison prochaine, cette fois en qualité de 'performance reviewer' (supervision). <br> <br> Elle poursuit par ailleurs sa carrière d'arbitre à XV en Belgique et au niveau international. Un beau résultat faisant suite à un autre plus compliqué à Genève début juillet.</p></div> <div class='rss_texte'><p>Déjà vainqueurs en Irlande à deux reprises en 2019 et 2025, les Fizzapapa's Belgium Rugby 7's ont atteint leur troisième finale à Tullamore ce samedi, pour leur huitième participation au Midnight 7's.<br> <br> Encadrés par Martin Gin Monny, Baptiste Claux et Antonin Ferlin, l'équipe s'alignait avec 11 nouveaux joueurs, malgré le forfait sur blessure de Robin Kirschfink, ancien international belge chez les jeunes.<br> <br> Les Fizzapapa's Belgium Rugby 7's ont signé un parcours sans faute en matchs de poule, s'imposant face à Barnhall Butchers County Kildare (43-10), à Obeese Geese (47-0) et North Kildare (24-12). En quarts de finale, ils poursuivaient sur leur lancée face à Old Wesley (31-5) avant d'écarter les Corinthians de Galway en demi (14-5). En finale, ils échouaient alors face au Gael Force Sevens (15-20), une équipe issue du premier programme indépendant d'élite de rugby à 7 offrant un encadrement professionnel à ses joueurs.<br> <br> <span class="bold">Dur dur à Genève</span><br> <br> Avant de se rendre en Irlande, les Fizzapapa's Belgium Rugby 7's avaient également fait le déplacement en Suisse pour y participer au Genève 7's les 4 et 5 juillet. Avec notamment Gabin Hollemans et les Anderlechtois Sacha Baeyens, Antoine Lambrecht et Ruben Flachet. Un Genève 7's particulièrement relevé auquel les Fizzapapa's avaient été invités.<br> <br> Face à quelques-unes des meilleures écuries de club du circuit à 7 de Rugby Europe, les Fizzapapa's Belgium Rugby 7's ont tout donné, jouant avec le coeur. Ils ont cependant souffert en termes de résultats, terminant à la huitième place. "Il faut bien reconnaître que nous avions sous-estimé le niveau de cette compétition", avoue-t-on du côté des Fizzapapa's. L'équipe belge masculine y a décroché la meilleure performance de son histoire, avec une troisième place au classement cumulé des deux manches. Quatrièmes en 2025, les Belges ont donc fait encore mieux en 2026. Et pourtant, ils ne sont pas qualifiés pour le SVNS 3 (la D3 des SVNS Series) qu'ils ont disputé cette année.<br> <br> Seule une nation pouvait en effet décrocher son billet pour ce SVNS 3 cette année. Troisième à Hambourg début juillet, l'Italie a cette fois terminé deuxième derrière la France (déjà présente en SVNS 1) et devance sur le fil la Belgique, troisième.<br> <br> Leur seule défaite ces 24, 25 et 26 juillet à Split, en Croatie, les Wild Dogs l'ont d'ailleurs concédée face aux Italiens en demi-finale (5-12), au terme d'un gros combat. En match de poule, les deux nations s'étaient neutralisées (21-21), nos compatriotes battant par ailleurs la Tchéquie (33-22) et l'Ukraine (33-5).<br> <br> En quarts de finale, Gaspard Lalli et consorts se sont imposés contre le Portugal (14-10). Privés de finale donc par l'Italie, ils allaient tout de même chercher une belle médaille de bronze en dominant l'Espagne dans la petite finale (17-5).<br> <br> Au classement final européen, la Belgique termine à une superbe troisième place. Un résultat historique mais aussi frustrant donc. Elles devaient justement terminer devant les Polonaises au classement pour espérer se qualifier pour le SVNS 3 l'an prochain. Ces dernières s'imposaient toutefois (7-21) et mettaient ainsi fin aux espoirs de qualification belge.<br> <br> Dimanche, en match de classement, les joueuses coachées par Terry Bouhraoua prenaient leur revanche sur les Britanniques (26-12) mais courbaient ensuite l'échine face à la France (5-12) dans le match pour la cinquième place.<br> <br> Sixième à Split, l'équipe belge termine cinquième au classement général cumulé des deux manches. Soit une place de mieux donc que l'an dernier.
